Mitchell County Pro Tennis Invitational 2013

Mauricio played in the Junior Circuit in Brazil and was ranked #15 nationally in the Junior Singles. Mauricio went on to play at Columbus State University where he was named the NCAA II Freshman of the Year in “1997”. Mauricio was ranked #5 in NCAA Division II Singles in “1998” and ranked #2 in NCAA Division II Doubles in “1999”. During his NCAA Division II career, Mauricio was a 4-time All-American from “1997-2000”. He was recognized as the “Athlete of the Year” by Columbus State University and Peach Belt Conference “Player of the Year” in “2000”.
